Parking is done by Local Boy Scouts and is free, however a suggested donation of $2.00 is appreciated.
No Pets Allowed.
Shuttles: Free shuttles start 30 mins before gates open and stop 30 mins after gates close. Shuttle pickup is available from Gilmer High School, Gilmer Middle School, Ellijay Primary and Elementary Schools, and Mountainview Elementary School. The shuttles are a good option as parking at the fairground is limited. To get a parking spot at the fairgrounds you must get there early. Sit back and enjoy the view of Ellijay via the free shuttles. |

The Annual Ellijay Apple Festival is held every year in the middle two weekends of October. It a celebration of the apple harvest.
The 4 day event features arts, crafts, quilts, food, apples, music, face painting, and much more. 200+ exhibitors come from all over to bring their arts and crafts. Unique and special items can be purchased at the Apple Festival.
The food is unbeatable every year- everything from savory gyros to fried turkey legs to fried cookies. And of course there are the apples- the Best apples money can by. While apples are for purchase at the Festival, there are many apple houses to stop and shop on the way in. A good choice is Hillcrest Orchards located out Hwy 52 east.
Looking for Accommodations? Try the Best Western Mountainview Inn or the Stratford Inn. But book early as the rooms usually fill up quickly.
