EllijayGeorgia.com has been online since 2000.
It has always spotlighted and focused on our local businesses and
community organizations.
Today we continue this mission, beginning in 2005 we put a
team together to re-develop this site and create an even better
website for the local community.
Our goals are to:
1.) create the most
comprehensive online resource for Ellijay, East Ellijay, and surrounding
Gilmer County;
2.) make an easy to navigate site where users can find local information quickly
and easily;
3.) create a clean, easily readable, uncluttered website;
4.) give local businesses a place to be spotlighted and advertise inexpensively with lots
of reoccurring exposure;
5.) generate a community directory for the community to make city,
county, and state organizations'/resources' information readily available;
6.) establish a fast way to find a phone number (via our complete
business/community listings as well as our
business phone number search);
People are using phone books, newspapers,
magazines, books, and other printed materials less and less each
day. Information from the Internet is easily accessible
virtually from everywhere in the United States and most places
world wide. We want our
community to have the same sort of access to local, online
information as some of the larger cities. There are other
sites out there, but there is only one Ellijay, Georgia and only one EllijayGeorgia.com
